The Times West Virginian, a community focused company serving Marion County and North Central West Virginia, is seeking a Multimedia Journalist Reporter to join the team!
We offer multi-platform products which include: newspapers, shoppers, magazines, web, mobile and social. We’ve earned numerous awards and we’re constantly evolving while pursuing our goal to remain intensely local and telling great stories that reflect our communities and readers.
We’re looking for a curious, energetic, multi-tasking journalist with strong writing skills and the ability to cover a broad range of news topics including crime, courts, meetings and features.
The ideal candidate will possess a degree in journalism, communication or English, or possess equivalent experience; recent and upcoming college graduates are encouraged to apply. A strong knowledge of AP style, basic photography and social media skills is required.
You must be willing to regularly work flexible hours including evenings and weekends. Candidates must also have a mobile phone and a reliable vehicle with acceptable insurance coverage and a safe driving record. You must be willing to relocate and live in our immediate area (no relocation assistance).
